Food was ok but overall terrible service.We had to wait 30 minutes to pay for the bill - or to even get the receipt.Though we were not very happy to wait with no explanation and not a nice attitude from the staff, we have waited patiently. When the guy - guess he's the owner - arrived I then complained why it took so long and with no apologies or no explanation, again, he replied that it's "malheureux". Worst service I've ever experienced in Europe, and well yes me being aware of the frenchy attitude since I've lived here for more than one year, this service is least expected and far most worst one.I just feel sorry for one female staff who was really nice. Nevertheless I do not wish to visit again nor recommend the restaurant to others. Thank you for ruining our great evening that we had in Nice.

Amazing service. I got this beef rolled up in herbs and hand made pasta. It was the best pasta I have ever had when traveling to Europe.

The atmosphere was great and the food was delicious. None of the party spoke French, but the owner took time and explained the meny too us and the service was good. I can recommend booking a table or getting there early. When we got there all outside tables were booked, but seating inside was available. This was a friendly restaurant with lovely food.

If you are passing through Nice and want to try real Nissarde cuisine, here is a good address, the Alziari table in old Nice. On the menu are typical regional recipes such as light and crispy courgette flower fritters, stuffed sardines, succulent headless larks, braised and stuffed veal pouch or even homemade ravioli and many other things. It is really very good with attentive service for a very good value for money.

Excellent food. We had the special which was fried zucchini flowers for an app. Main was pasta and tomato dollop for me and fish stew for my wife. Nice eating outside spot (like most places in Nice) and attentive staff

Wonderful nicoise experience. Fantastic homemade fresh ingredients. Nicest first try of tartar and best homemade chips iv tasted in France service excellent and very well priced! Service friendly and informative would definitely recommend to people looking for a non tourist spot! A little selection of very good quality dishes!

Lots of the foods on the menu were not available the night we were there. the waitress was not nice. Foods taste were just ok.

Welcome to the top, if you want to eat typical Nice homemade, this restaurant is what you need.

This is the only restaurant on this trip that has no extra cost, and the food is very delicious~ the service is super good! Very recommended. The olives before the meal, as well as the bread, the water is free ~ 25 euros per person! not bad!

A very good address for quality cuisine in Nice. The restaurant is a little out of the way from the busy streets, which makes it a pleasant place to eat and be able to chat without having to yell. The cook and the team in the dining room are very pleasant, a very good time spent here, thank you!

This is a great restaurant to experience the real cuisine Nissart and Provençal. But get there early and make a reservation, so that you won't be disappointed.

Great ! We enjoyed eating on the terrace the donuts of zucchini flowers and sardines in the niçoise (an absolute must). And a friendly welcome with simplicity and humility.

The staff here r not so patient to a foreigner. N the food is the most horrible French food I have seen before. Take ur experience here if u don't believe it.

I loved the food! It really cost me a lot to find a place to eat since it was my first day and I had never been to France, except in Nice and well my experience was that two girls attended me, one was quite friendly (very nice, why did I know not I knew how to speak French) and it was the one that received me, but unlike the one that attended to me, I asked him for suggestions and well I don't know if it was why I didn't speak French but if I noticed a bit of despair when trying to help me. Out of all this I liked, nice place, warm and delicious food.

Went there for a special dinner. I wanted to try some real French foods that I had read about. I did! Stuffed sardines, super good. Stuffed cabbage, the French way, I can’t wait to make them myself. And a chocolate cake with melted chocolate. Staff were great and explained the menu to us and answered questions and gave suggestions. Will definitely go back!

I never write reviews but needed to rave about this gem! A local recommend this place and I’m so glad she did. All courses were amazing (I highly recommend the ravioli with beef: it was one of, if not my favourite meal I’ve had in my 16 day Europe trip). They were all so incredibly friendly, attentive, and created such a homey atmosphere. So delightful!!

Really good meal, strongly recommend the stew lamb, stew beef and stew fish. Restaurant owner and waitress are very nice. It’s a great dining experience with my parents.

Lovely family run restaurant in one of the oldest areas in Nice and some amazing local dishes made of fresh and locally sourced products including (that was my lunch today) stuffed sardines as a starter and pistou fresh pasta as a main course. Perfect for a dinner in the old town of Nice

The staff is nice and the waitress does not lack humor. The food is delicious and it changes the tourist restaurants of old Nice. Many regulars, which is revealing. The zucchini fritters, to order at the time of booking (recommended), are a treat. After several meals this summer, still no grievances.

We were here to celebrate a birthday, a perfect choice: welcoming place, delicious and genuine food, the very kind owner, who speaks good Italian, showed us the dishes and advised us in our choice. All excellent, I would definitely go back and recommend it with your eyes closed.

An excellent Nice restaurant with traditional local dishes, more frequented by locals than by tourists.The choice of dishes is not very wide, but it is better this way.For a Ligurian, I use the Italian names, they are not at all unusual like sardines or stuffed vegetables or even stockfish or kneaded and fried courgettes.But it is an appearance because the flavors are quite different.
